Maribor is the second biggest city of Slovenia having practically 135,579 inhabitants as per national census conducted throughout 2008. Maribor is surrounded with many high peak mountains and stunning rivers running by means of the city. Drava River is an opening point of the city where it starts beside Pohorje Mountain, the Drava Valley, the Drava Plain, the Kozjak and Slovenske gorice hill. Maribor city also holds the status of seat of the Municipality and central location of Lower Styria. The city has well organized infrastructure of transportation system comprising upon highways, railroads and Maribor Airport facilitating thousands of travelers on every day bases. Maribor city is composed of 12 unique municipal districts under its government including Kamnica, Pekre, Limbus, Razvanje, Malecnik-Ruperce and Brestrenica-Gaj. The Drava River split the districts of Koroska Vrata, Melje and Ivan Cankar from the remaining districts of the city.
